OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE PREQUEL – THE WOLF HUNT BEGINS
TV3 and South Pacific Pictures are on the hunt for a young man to play the teenage character of Wolfgang West in the upcoming series West Side Story, the prequel to the iconic series Outrageous Fortune.
West Side Story (working title) is set in 1970s Auckland, against a backdrop of real-life historical events and will tell the story of legendary safe-cracker and career criminal Ted West, his wife Rita and their son Wolfgang.
South Pacific Pictures have taken the exciting step of an open casting for the younger version of the character made famous by actor Grant Bowler in Outrageous Fortune.
“The young man we’re looking for has some big Grant Bowler size shoes to grow into,” says West Side Story
co-creator James Griffin.
“We’re looking for that person who embodies not only the teenage Wolfgang West, but also all that Wolf will become over the years to follow.”
Contenders for the role of young Wolf should be aged between approximately 15-20 years, must be Auckland based and available for filming from late October to mid- December 2014.
