A diverse array of local television content is being honoured today with the announcement of the 2018 Huawei Mate20 New Zealand Television Awards finalists.   New Zealand’s favourite bogans will be cracking open the crates of Old Brown to celebrate Westside’s five nominations, including a nomination for Best Drama and a Best Actress nomination for leading lady, Antonia Prebble. Last year's Best Drama award winner 800 Words also earned three nods, including a Best Actor nomination for Rick Donald who plays Woody in the hit trans-Tasman series.

Kura Productions was also acknowledged for their work with the ground-breaking youth series, Ahikāroa which was nominated for Te Māngai Pāho Best Maori Programme.
