Whirimako Black honoured at the Maori of the Year Awards

White Lies lead actress Whirimako Black has been awarded the Arts/Reo/Tikanga award on Marae Investigates for the Ngā Toa Whakaihuwaka (Māori of the Year) Awards for 2013.

Whirimako won the award for her role on South Pacific Pictures' 2013 feature film White Lies | Tuakiri Huna and also for the part she played in helping te reo Māori live in mainstream.
