How do I get an acting part or become an extra in a SPP production?
For both main acting roles and extras, SPP use acting agencies, who put forward potential candidates. You must get yourself an acting agent if you are keen to work as an extra or an actor.

How does my charity or community organisation contact Shortland Street or another SPP production?
All requests must be submitted via email to publicity@spp.co.nz. Please ensure you provide us with as much information as possible, including:
- Your name, the name of your organisation and a contact phone number
- Nature of your request, i.e. programme merchandise/prize, actor appearance, etc
- Which SPP programme your request relates to
- Any other relevant information about your organisation, event and the nature of your request
We aim to respond to you within five working days.
How can I pitch my idea to SPP?
Unfortunately we do not accept unsolicited materials or ideas.
Can I visit the Shortland Street studios?
We do not hold public tours or viewings of the studios.
